I’ve been down and out with covid the last few days, so I haven’t had the time or energy to dive in or research anything foundational. It also means I haven’t been catching any of the late games recently. Regardless, I’m going to give a couple thoughts I have on each series so far. Leafs [...]
We have playoff hockey here, with the first round being the best time while players are playing at 100% and haven’t been doing it for long enough to be worn-out or injured. Enjoy the best hockey of the season while you can! * A lot of us have playoff pools, and even those of you [...]
My last Ramblings of the year comes in with three days worth of games left on the schedule. Playoff drafts are just around the corner, and I want to go over a few thoughts and strategies entering those. How to win is pretty simple. Whether it’s a bracket or a player pool, you need your [...]
Congrats to those that have already wrapped up fantasy leagues and brought home some hardware. The only one of mine that I can still win this year runs the finals up to the final day of the regular season. Big nights from Jason Robertson and Vitek Vanecek have me in the driver’s seat thus far. [...]
It’s a big week for fantasy hockey, and I’m right there with you in three semi-finals matches, and one consolation final match (with the prize being first-overall pick next year – Connor Bedard). It’s also that time in Roto leagues, where you need to make up the games played that you lost during the year [...]
Luckily after spending a lot of time revamping the skater rankings, to have the goalie list similarly represent the best players first, while still having the value column as a reference, all I had to do was sort by the Value column first, and then the Tier column. Top-tier goalies are very hard to come [...]
You asked, and then you asked again. I have listened, and finally had time to re-jig the whole cap rankings system. Regardless of league, Connor McDavid should be the first overall player, the highest rated player, and the first player ranked in any kind of trade or draft. I know that, you know that, and [...]
I took over Dobber’s Ramblings back on Monday, and have since realized that I neglected to mention that the swap was just for Dobber to enjoy a slightly extended and well-earned March Break with the family. Back to your regular scheduled programming now. * We’re well into fantasy playoffs now, and it seems that the [...]
Load management is going to be coming to hockey, and no one is going to like it. David Krejci sat for the Bruins on the second night of a back-to-back. The regular seven defencemen have also been rotating already for at least a week. Expect that to become a regular occurrence for them the rest [...]
The Capitals and Rangers game was a little different than your average regular season matchup. Using some newfangled technology, they animated the game. https://twitter.com/TSN_Sports/status/1635789285293998080 For the fantasy relevant numbers, the Rangers showed why they’re in the playoffs and the Capitals aren’t. Mika Zibanejad scored twice, Patrick Kane and Vincent Trocheck each added two points, and [...]
