The first month of 2023 is in the books, and with that we’re almost at the All-Star break, just one more light night tonight after an exciting trio of one-goal-games last night. At this point the 15th annual Midseason Guide (2023) is only two weeks old now. Pick it up here! Second-half projections, prospects, free [...]
My favourite part about the goalie rankings is that I managed to automate the tier and the rating system independently, and they work to show different things. The tier system will likely show you the goalies in an order much closer to how they are likely to be drafted, or valued by your fellow fans [...]
We’re halfway through the year, so we are now at the point that trends have emerged, injuries are playing a role, and rookies have likely shown whether or not they will make an impact this year. This is the main update to take you through the trade deadline, the end of the season, and the [...]
In yesterday’s Ramblings, Michael Clifford mentioned the Ottawa lines and what they looked like post-Josh Norris’ surgery announcement, including the recall of Ridly Greig. Mathieu Joseph is the one name to key in on here, because he’s someone that is on the waiver wire in most leagues, but could be one of those players that [...]
Josh Norris and Evander Kane suddenly returning to action only a few days after Max Pacioretty returned ahead of schedule again underscores how much these athletes and their medical support pushes the limits of usual recovery timelines. When you have the ability to sit on an injured asset that you can buy-low on, it’s often [...]
I’m taking over Ian’s Ramblings as he was helping head the work on the Midseason Guide that was released yesterday. A ton of hard work compressed into a very short time-frame goes into it every year. It’s extremely relevant for a short period of time, and then by the end of January you’re too far [...]
We’re just about at the midpoint of the season now, and I just submitted my input, so thoughts on the second-half are what’s on the mind at the moment. The 15th annual Midseason Guide will be released on Friday, January 13, and you can Pre-order it here. This is included in the Platinum/Gold subscriptions only, or the Ultimate Fantasy [...]
I hope everyone is doing well in the New Year thus far. It already feels like there has been a ton of news and things to talk about, so let’s dive right in. * In the surprise move of the day the Red Wings waived Jakub Vrana. Vrana is a 25-year-old winger who is coming [...]
The Blues will be without Torey Krug who is going to be re-evaluated in six weeks, which likely means at best eight weeks that he’s missing. It appears he was injured on the last shift of the Blues’ final game before the break. Calle Rosen draws back into the lineup, and immediately scored last night. [...]
As of today I am off work until the New Year. It’s a great feeling, and it’s made even better by the fact there are eight games to cover tonight (not staggered at all on the start times unfortunately) and the World Juniors are almost here as well. Only a few days until they’re back [...]
