The Washington Capitals look to be not far off from icing the healthiest lineup they’ve had all season. *knocks on wood* Tom Wilson and Nicklas Backstrom are skating, and both look to be somewhere between week-to-week and day-to-day. It could be that we see both back in the lineup by the New Year, and by [...]
I’m covering for Ian today, and since I’m out of my normal routine, I’m going to jump out of my usual wheelhouse and focus a bit more on some prospects today. Before I get to that though, a few game and injury notes, updates, and thoughts. * Patrik Laine made his return (again) from an [...]
Boston continued their hot start and extended their home-win record last night with a win over the Lightning. Taylor Hall scored twice in the game, which was actually a surprise for me to see because he has been down on the third line for the past few games (and is only on the second power [...]
This edition is a few days late, and I will endeavour not to let that happen again. Sometimes life gets in the way though, and these things do happen, so I appreciate your patience in waiting for the update. * There is always a lot of fluctuation when it comes to goalies. Linus Ullmark is [...]
New rankings are updated below, and there are some fun movers due to new contracts, early season results, and a few other minor edits. The Injury to Aaron Ekblad has bumped up both Brandon Montour and Gustav Forsling, and even with Ekblad’s return, both should be able to hold onto fantasy relevance, though maybe not [...]
Toronto and Arizona have swapped depth skaters to fill some organizational needs. https://twitter.com/CraigSMorgan/status/1595492392106590208 What the Coyotes Get: Size and depth for their AHL team, and a possible future depth forward, for a defenceman that they were going to lose on waivers anyways. Curtis Douglas is not a player that needs to be on the fantasy [...]
The Minnesota Wild have added some grit to their bottom six in a trade with the New York Rangers: https://twitter.com/NYRangers/status/1595492594569469952 What the Rangers Get: A lineup spot for a healthy forward core, and some extra cap space to potentially use at the deadline. What the Wild Get: A fourth-liner who can hit plenty and [...]
I’ll be posting the updated salary cap keeper rankings on the 25th (skaters) and 26th (goalies), so keep an eye out for those. Even with Moritz Seider’s slow start, he’s still holding off Trevor Zegras for the top spot in the rankings this month. The value you’re getting for an offensive Dman with his upside [...]
Whether or not you like Craig Button, he had a big take yesterday about Bo Horvat, said Horvat was done in Vancouver. Now, a lot of people immediately took that a step too far, thinking he’s going to be traded tomorrow. While it’s not impossible, it’s as close as you can get. I think what [...]
The Devils won their seventh straight, and it is really looking like they are going to be one of the teams to beat come playoff time in the East. Vitek Vanecek looks to be taking over in the crease, Dougie Hamilton’s revival is in full swing with 10 points in 13 games (but he’s still [...]
