The hapless Canadiens fired their head coach just months after he was at the helm for a miracle run to the Stanley Cup Final. Even at the time of his interim hiring though, there were questions about how well Ducharme would fit in a head coaching role. Everything went right last year and he was [...]
The Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey kicks off this morning, and to get all you insatiable fantasy geeks your cheat sheet on who you should be keeping an eye on, Peter Harling has you covered. He dives into a whole bunch of NHL relevant prospects that are going to be covered in the games. Just like [...]
It’s February, so that means it’s time for Filip Forsberg to score a few extra goals. It seems as though every year he finds a little bit extra for “Filbruary”. Maybe a good guy to sell-high on at your league’s trade deadline in a month, but in the short-term, a good guy to have in [...]
Here are the top 62 goalies to own in your salary cap league – January 26th, 2022 edition. This month, Tuukka Rask makes his return to Boston, but he seems to need a little more time to get his feet under him. Pavel Francouz is finally healthy, and has posted two straight shutouts, giving Darcy [...]
The Iron-Man record has been broken. Last night Keith Yandle became the all-time leader for consecutive games played, notching his 965th in a row, having not missed a game in nearly 13 years. We saw Evgeni Malkin make his return to the Penguins’ lineup last night, Elias Pettersson played his second game post-concussion, and there was a Fantrax update that said Jack Eichel should be playing his first game this week – that might be a bit early, but sometime in the next two weeks sounds right. It’s [...]
We’re seeing the Covid protocol list grow again after it dipped following the Christmas break. A few high-profile names have been moved to the list of late, including Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, Claude Giroux, Alex Tuch, Ivan Provorov, Sam Reinhart, Trevor Zegras, and many others. My best advice is to make sure your streamers are [...]
While everyone is busy over the holidays, and while we’re also dealing with a scheduling upheaval, I wanted to take the time to put out some updated contract projections for the 2022 free agent crop. With the new year upon us, we could see a few more extensions signed as more players become eligible. I [...]
