No games scheduled until Dec 26th now, so don’t worry about missing any action while you’re tucking into a holiday meal with the family. That means the current fantasy week is already over. For those of you in Roto and points leagues, this is turning into a “wait it out” kind of time, but for [...]
Well the latest wave of Covid is running through the NHL, and we have already seen a number of players, teams, and games affected. We’re not out of the woods yet, and this season may end up being just as bumpy as last year when all is said and done. This is the kind of [...]
The other editors here have done a solid job covering the shakeups in Vancouver and Philadelphia, but with having a game under our belt from both teams now, we can start to see a few trends emerge. I just wanted to jot down a couple of notes on those. Power play units are always interesting [...]
The New Jersey Devils extended their franchise cornerstone Jack Hughes to an eight-year deal that sees him earning $8 million per season through the 2028-29 season. My contract projections had him in the $5-6 million AAV ballpark, which would have made some sense on a short-term bridge deal. The Devils sure didn’t want to bet [...]
Here are the top 62 goalies to own in your salary cap league – November 26th, 2021 edition. Jack Campbell has been in a league of his own this year. It was something that fantasy managers may have been aware of in cap leagues at the moment, but to see it so drastically outlined really [...]
In this month’s cap league skater rankings, the small sample sizes dominate, with managers trying to sort out who to buy-in on, and who is a flash in the pan. With the rankings here set up to value those that will provide the most value over the next three seasons (with the current season the [...]
The Devils have been alternating winning streaks and losing streaks of late. After barely playing Alexander Holtz in their win against Tampa Bay on the 20th, he was sent down to the Utica Comets of the AHL. With him being at six games on the season thus far, it seems unlikely that we see much [...]
Ottawa and New Jersey were supposed to be playing tonight. Take a look on the waiver wire and see if any mid-tier players from either team were dropped as a result of the lighter week (and keep an eye out for Predators or Rangers players for the same reason). If you’re able to hold on [...]
A few years ago, Dobber was closely tracking Andreas Athanasiou in his quest for the most abysmal season ever, at least in terms of plus-minus. Through his first 12 games, Athanasiou was minus-16, and if it weren’t for a mid-season injury, he may have given the minus-100 mark a good run. As it was, he [...]
The NHL continues to completely ruin the response to the Brad Aldrich situation. It’s extremely disheartening to see that they really just don’t care about the players, and won’t make any move to care for anything but the bottom-line of the business. At least we have players like Carey Price that are starting to take [...]
