Only one game of playoff pucks on Thursday… and it was quite the night for Leafs fans. Maple Leafs 2, Bruins 1 (series tied 3-3) Maybe losing Auston Matthews was what the Leafs needed to figure out how to dig deep and play with passion. Of course it’s not as simple as that, but the [...]
Playoff pucks again… Saturday featured four more games as the first round continues. Islanders 3, Hurricanes 2, 2 OT (Hurricanes lead series 3-1) The Islanders staved off elimination on Saturday, avoiding a sweep with a double-overtime goal from Mathew Barzal. The point shot from Robert Bortuzzo appeared to be deflected in by Barzal at 1:24 [...]
It’s all playoff pucks today. I’ll use that term because it was the name of the very first fantasy hockey article that I wrote way back in 2006 for a website that no longer exists. Canucks 2, Predators 1 (Canucks lead series 2-1) Just gotta catch my breath here… okay, I’m good. After looking a [...]
After being away from the Ramblings for over a week, I’m back today. Big thanks to Brennan, Alex, and Mike for each taking on a day in my absence. What I’ve been up to during this time: Interactive Playoff Draft List: A fully customizable spreadsheet where you can fill out your own bracket and the [...]

An update for those who have purchased the playoff draft list: Currently it is still in progress, but it should be ready early next week. I know Dobber mentioned that he would have it ready for early April, but unfortunately his current health situation doesn’t allow him to work on it this season as he [...]
Of all the games I caught at least a part of on Saturday, the Pittsburgh/Tampa Bay game was easily the most enjoyable. Playoff implications, goal swings, and standout performances from some established stars. The Penguins finished with a 5-4 win, grabbing a playoff spot in the process. Considering where they were when they traded Jake [...]
Jack Quinn scored a pair of goals for the Sabres in their 4-2 win over Philadelphia on Friday. Quinn also took four shots and blocked two more. Quinn has a very respectable 15 points in 22 games, which would put him on a 56-point pace over a full season. Unfortunately, he’s spent too much time [...]
You should probably wait to fill out your playoff bracket or playoff pool, particularly for the Eastern Conference. With the way the Flyers, Red Wings, Capitals, Islanders, or Penguins have played at times this season, how confident are you that one of them can advance past the first round? There appears to be a clear [...]
