Happy Tuesday y’all! I hope you’re having a good start to your seasons. I don’t know how I have done it, but I am off to an 0-0-3 start. That is right, three ties. Is that impressive or embarrassing? Let me know what you think. Anyway, let’s jump into it. Brian Hedger of the Columbus [...]
Happy Monday y’all! I hope you had a great week and have all of your Halloween decorations ready to roll! The prophecy came true and Connor Hellebuyck was dealt out of the Western Conference, being traded to the New Jersey Devils. At this point of the season, the Winnipeg Jets got the best deal they [...]
An interesting development at Buffalo Sabres practice as we saw Jiri Kulich next to Tage Thompson and Josh Doan on the top line. This one has many layers here so stick with me. First, Kulich is a former first rounder and only 22 years old so if he can be Thompson’s wingman, the Czech forward [...]
Happy Monday y’all! We may finally have a resolution in the Connor Hellebuyck situation. Elliotte Friedman reported on Saturday night that Hellebuyck told the Winnipeg Jets he was planning on returning, but since he skipped out on training camp, the Jets were allowed to suspend him for a “reasonable length” which looks like is considered [...]
Happy Tuesday y’all! Today is a special day because it is the NHL Frozen Frenzy, which means every organization is in action. Beginning at 6 PM ET, we get staggered start times every 15 minutes, so we should have at least one game constantly in action. Days like this are when I wish we had [...]
Happy Monday y’all! How did everyone’s first matchup go? After a couple of defensive nightmarish performances against the Canucks, the Oil have [...]
Happy Tuesday y’all! We are officially a week into the season. What have been your surprises so far? The big news yesterday was Alex Ovechkin confirming this is his last NHL season. Maybe he played the first few games and realized it is time to pack it in, but the coaching staff has already made [...]
Happy Monday y’all! Already a week into the season, how did your matchup go? Or do you have an extended first week because the league started on a Tuesday? Something that is not new, Connor McDavid is leading the league in points with nine in his first three games. His teammate, Evan Bouchard (yes, the [...]
Happy Tuesday y’all… and opening night!!! We made it through the summer, and Monday truly felt like Christmas Eve because we had a pretty big trade go down that kind of came out of nowhere. The Toronto Maple Leafs traded Matt Knies, Emil Andrae, Steven Lorentz, and a draft pick to Columbus for Kirill Marchenko, [...]
Happy Monday y’all! We have made it! Finally, it is opening week, with games set to start tomorrow. Hopefully your drafts went as planned, but if not, we are here to help! The draft is only half the battle; working the waiver wire and making trades throughout the season is what will give you an [...]
