Fantasy Impact: The New York Rangers traded defenseman Ryan McDonagh to the Tampa Bay Lightning for forward Vladislav Namestnikov, prospect forward Brett Howden, prospect defenseman Libor Hajek, a 2018 first-round draft pick and a conditional second-round draft pick. The Rangers get: a second-line forward who showed he could thrive on a top line [...]
Fantasy Impact: The Edmonton Oilers traded big winger Patrick Maroon to the New Jersey Devils for a third-round draft pick and two-way prospect J.D. Dudek. The Oilers get: a decent draft pick, though I thought they could do a little better. The prospect Dudek hasn't been eye-popping at the NCAA level. More info on [...]
Fantasy Impact: The Minnesota Wild trades defenseman Mike Reilly to the Montreal Canadiens for a fifth-round draft pick. The Habs get: a puck-moving defenseman who is still a bit of a project. Reilly, a college standout, has struggled since turning pro. The advanced stats show that Reilly is not a good NHL player, but [...]
Fantasy Impact: The Detroit Red Wings traded winger Tomas Tatar to the Vegas Golden Knights for first (2018), second (2019) and third-round (2021) draft picks. The Red Wings get: three great picks. Quite a bit, consider how the market has played out on Deadline Day. The Golden Knights get: an under-achieving top-six winger. [...]

The Sabres get: an underrated [...]

The Blues get: a scoring forward with top-six upside. Read our scouting [...]
