Many fantasy general managers were disappointed with the lack of NHL trades this past weekend. Not only were we expecting plenty of movement, but a player’s value spikes tremendously immediately after a deal. Now that the expansion lists are in, you might think the likelihood of trades not involving Vegas would diminish. Look at Dion [...]
Leading up to the NHL Entry Draft we’ve been examining each Western Conference squad’s offseason priorities, emphasizing points-only pool production with some peripheral considerations, and highlighting potential breakout candidates. We started in the cellar points-wise and are moving up as we go. We’ll tackle Vegas shortly after the expansion and entry drafts. Last week was [...]

The Achilles’ Heel of Calgary’s 2016-17 season was undoubtedly their goaltending. Chad Johnson did what he could early in the season, but his play trailed off, and Brian Elliott was infrequently able to capture the level of play he enjoyed in St. Louis. He will replace Dan Bylsma, who was fired alongside former GM Tim Murray following the end of the season back in April. Housley was a first round [...]
