Trading – Code of Conduct

deal

Fantasy Hockey Trading Guidelines: For those of you entering a fantasy league for the first time this season, or who are thinking about joining your for league for next campaign, may be a little nervous about how to conduct yourselves in terms of trading and negotiation. Furthermore, there are plenty of new commissioners who could probably use a couple of tips in terms of how to conduct deals while still holding yourself accountable as the "leader" of your league. You set the example, so you have to hold yourself to higher standards. I have taken the time to list not only what should be hardcoded into your rules, but also a few things to keep in mind if you want to maintain friendly relations with your fellow GM's.

fantasy hockey

As you may have read in the Ramblings, we have a team in our Pro Tier (in the DobberHockey Invitational) that is in dead last. As can sometimes happen when love fantasy hockey so much that you get into far too many leagues, life catches up with you and some of your fantasy squads suffer as a result. This is one of those situations. I have nine volunteers to take the reins of this squad and try and turn it around. If the person who takes the team over, gets it into the Top 5, that person will immediately become a part of DobberHockey lore. A legend, if you will. If the person can somehow win the league - then to me that's instant DobberHockey Hall-of-Fame Induction. No waiting period, no voting, no hurdles - just straight into the HoF for the pure awesomeness of it.

Fantasy Hockey

On November 7, 2005, I registered DobberHockey.com as a domain and immediately transferred my web page over to the new url, effectively launching what would become the best damn fantasy hockey site on the Internet. Let's take a look back at what the site looked like over the years, some of the older features, and how the community has grown. You'll laugh, you'll cry, but mostly you'll just shake your head and wonder "what the hell was Dobber thinking?". But it brought us to where we are today.
