By Michael Clifford|2019-12-03T10:13:39-05:00December 3rd, 2019|Hockey Rambling|

The Leafs welcomed back Mitch Marner to practice on Monday. It’s his first time with the team since suffering that gnarly ankle injury weeks back. The earliest initial timeline would have had him back for this weekend but it appears he may beat that by a day or two. With Marner back, it was [...]

Ramblings: Digging deep on Subban and Fiala, thoughts on Puljujarvi, Rust, Dumba, Krejci and more (Dec 02) *** I was asked on Twitter about PK Subban. Is it over? Is he done? At 30 years of age and coming off a season that saw him tally just 31 points, he’s struggling even worse. Just [...]

Ramblings: Pair of Bruins signings; Sobotka surgery; Top line Thomas; Vrana’s season – November 28

By Michael Clifford|2019-11-28T10:07:40-05:00November 28th, 2019|Hockey Rambling|

The Buffalo Sabres announced that Vladimir Sobotka will undergo knee surgery. Fantasy owners will remember the low-bridge hit from Nikita Kucherov in their Sweden series that knocked Sobotka out of action. It looks like his absence will be even longer than originally thought. This has to put pressure on Buffalo management. They’re rostering guys [...]

Ramblings: Update on Zibanejad, Backstrom, Rantanen, Bergeron; Kase; Lehkonen – November 26

By Michael Clifford|2019-11-26T10:23:12-05:00November 26th, 2019|Hockey Rambling|

Mika Zibanejad skated with the team before practice but did not suit up for Monday night’s tilt at home against Minnesota. It is expected that he’ll return Wednesday, though, so fantasy owners can start making their arrangements to get him off the IR. * Mikko Rantanen was skating with the team in practice on [...]

By Dobber|2019-11-25T02:08:43-05:00November 25th, 2019|Hockey Rambling|

Ramblings: Digging deep on Gusev, Bowey’s blunder, Iron Yan, and fading Phil (Nov 25) *** I was asked on Twitter if it’s time to drop Nikita Gusev, after I had advised him two weeks ago that he should “give it two weeks”. I liked the question and I wanted to delve deeper and I [...]
