I’ll start by expressing just how lovely it is to be back watching playoff hockey. We all know that virtually every aspect of the game increases in speed and physicality but until it’s back being performed in front of us each spring, it’s easy to forget just how tremendous the level of play [...]

After his hit on Will Carrier in Game 1, it was kind of up in the air as to whether or not Drew Doughty would hear from the Department of Player Safety. Not only did he hear from them, but Doughty was suspended one game, I think to the surprise of many. Not necessarily that [...]

I’m sure much of the hockey world was looking forward to the Flyers/Penguins series. One report early on Monday morning had Ilya Kovalchuk signing with the New York Rangers for anywhere around two or three years. He has expressly made his desire to return to the NHL previously known so it’s a matter of where he lands, not if he leaves the KHL. A lot of people are going [...]

Well Dobberites, the days of our beloved Managing Editor, Steve Laidlaw bringing sage advice and poignant takes is done for the season. Steve will be off saving our West Coast forests from the summer blazes and you’ll all have to deal with me. As the season closes and the playoffs wrap up, [...]
