Here are the Top 50 prospect blueliners to own in your points-only fantasy hockey keeper league, February edition!

As always, players within +/-5.0 rating points of each other should be considered equal and at that point would depend on your team needs (NHL-ready but lower upside, or several years away with high upside) and personal biases. The top forwards list was out Monday – click here. Click any name to be taken to their DobberProspects scouting profile.

Is there a reason why Filip Hronek is still not part of the top 50?

-2nd in AHL for points by rookie defenceman (10th in all D)
-Carries on much more offence then Saarijarvi in the same team, while being 1 year younger.
-Best +- in his team by far. (+21)
-Is in an organisation where he can quickly climb on the depth chart and will maybe get a call-up this year.

Is it something in his game that I did not notice because, from my point of view, he looks like a steal in the 2nd round of the 2016 draft.

He’s 79th, thanks for bringing it to my attention

*Sees no MIN D in your top 50* *Understands why and leaves*

      haha
Yeah, no one elite. They have three in the Top 80 but zero in the Top 60

Just curious, on the Prospects Rankings Theodore is 4.2 points higher than Butcher but on the Keeper Rankings Butcher is 11.4 points higher than Theodore.

    How should I read this?

    • Dobber 2018-02-21 at 13:41

Butcher is helping more right now, and immediacy has more weight in the full keeper rankings and less weight in these ones

I read your stuff all the time man, keep up the good work! My fantasy keeper Squad sends its regards *tips hat*

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – The Wilkes-Jarry Penguins

Elizabeth and Lewis are back to take listeners through a host of power play changes that are giving managers the opportunity to get exposure to great players off the waiver wire, including Philly, Jersey, and Tampa talk. They also cover Jarry’s AHL demotion, Cooley’s ascension to the top-line and powerplay, and injuries to Tavares and Hintz. The duo wrap up with some hot and cold streak deep dives, including discussion of the Red Wings crazy powerplay success in the last ten games, whether Erik Gustafsson is rosterable or an overperforming illusion, Fantilli’s continued success, Merilainen as Hamburglar 2.0, and whether Schenn’s success and Neighbours’ lack thereof are likely to continue.
