In this edition of Capped, I plan on discussing some of the league’s premier youngsters, mainly the ones who are eligible to win the Calder Trophy, which is awarded to the best rookie of the season. I spoke about a few rookies back in November as well, touching on Matty Beniers of Seattle, Calen Addison [...]
The Canucks fell back to reality last night after a very good performance for Rick Tocchet’s initial game. Two statistics stand out: first, this was the Kraken’s only win against their northern neighbor in their existence (now 1-5-1), and second, when I gave up at the mid-point of the 2nd period, the combination of Bo [...]
My favourite part about the goalie rankings is that I managed to automate the tier and the rating system independently, and they work to show different things. The tier system will likely show you the goalies in an order much closer to how they are likely to be drafted, or valued by your fellow fans [...]
The Pittsburgh goaltending situation has been muddled of late with an injury to Tristan Jarry. He has just three starts since Christmas as he’s made his way in and out of the lineup. This has forced the Penguins to recall Dustin Tokarski: https://twitter.com/PensInsideScoop/status/1618294573406781442 Tokarski has made two appearances for the Penguins this month, going 1-1 [...]

Below are 20 skaters where [...]
We’re halfway through the year, so we are now at the point that trends have emerged, injuries are playing a role, and rookies have likely shown whether or not they will make an impact this year. This is the main update to take you through the trade deadline, the end of the season, and the [...]
In yesterday’s Ramblings, Michael Clifford mentioned the Ottawa lines and what they looked like post-Josh Norris’ surgery announcement, including the recall of Ridly Greig. Mathieu Joseph is the one name to key in on here, because he’s someone that is on the waiver wire in most leagues, but could be one of those players that [...]
Welcome back to another edition of Lining Up. This week will highlight some players with dense or favourable schedules leading into the All-Star break, as well as a few notable and low-rostered players who are suddenly receiving excellent deployment. Let’s dive in. Ryan Strome – Max Comtois – Trevor Zegras This line in Anaheim is [...]
I’m looking at an 11-game smörgåsbord menu - pick what you like - and there aren’t really any matchups that seem badly unbalanced. Should be a fun night to watch scores (although I’ll do so from within the PPG arena in Pittsburgh). I’m going to go with the Pennsylvania teams, absolutely a first for me, [...]
