Good day to all! Last night’s lineup came together almost too easily — which is usually a red flag — pairing both the Ottawa Senators and Utah Mammoth second lines with Jakob Chychrun and Logan Thompson in net. Ottawa handled those pesky Canucks, and Utah’s second line managed five shots on goal, but that’s a [...]
Calvin Pickard was waived by the Oilers on Sunday after struggling in limited action this season. In 16 appearances, he went 5-6-2 with an .871 save percentage and a 3.68 GAA, clearing the path for Connor Ingram to step into the backup role. For now. Ingram has quietly earned that spot, posting a 6-3-1 record [...]
In my Ramblings on Tuesday, this column went over some forwards that have a couple of signs of positive regression that we look for when trying to figure out who is due for a rebound. Yesterday, these Ramblings covered the same signs of positive regression but for defencemen. Today, we’re going in the other direction: [...]
Welcome fantasy managers to another edition of the Eastern Edge. This week we are going to take a closer look at John Gibson's excellent first half of the campaign, David Pastrnak’s brilliance in Boston, Dan Vladar seizing his opportunity in Philadelphia, trade talk surrounding Dougie Hamilton and a potential new lease on life for Kent [...]
Good day to all my DFS peps out there! Yesterday’s slate…many (me) were calling it the most Monday slate of all-time. Seattle versus Calgary was built for Monday night. Or Wednesday at like 9 a.m. central on Cartoon Network. Either way, it was a close the laptop early night for your boy. I roster Igor [...]
Good day, all! Last night I played a Winnipeg top line with Nashville’s top line and somehow cashed despite Igor Shesterkin three goals on 25 shots. I had a Florida double-defensemen that saved me to land at that sweet 102nd place. Printing $1.50 wins at this point. Yes, hi. I’d like the Benz in red [...]
Happy Tuesday everyone! We’re in Week 10 of the season and this is about the time where I start looking at my rosters and see in which direction I want to move my teams. For the dynasty/keeper leagues, are we pushing in the chips and going on a playoff run or do we want to [...]
Andrei Vasilevskiy has been moved to the injured reserve, according to reporter Diandra Loux. He is set to miss at least the next couple of games, but it’s not all bad news as both Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov were back in Tampa Bay’s lineup on Monday night. Tampa was in Toronto for that game [...]
Just here to wake up everyone now that it’s the end of September. The NHL regular season starts one week from today and most teams have their training camps down to 30-or-so players. We have one week left to do our fantasy drafts, and particularly for those in medium or deep formats, knowing which non-elite [...]
