Not much happening in the news today, so I’m going to jump into another mock draft that I recently completed. After my last mock draft, the area that I identified that I needed improvement on was how I draft defensemen. That is why I spend considerable time discussing them in the first few rounds of [...]
Today’s focus will be on news and notes from the past week. Included are injury updates, contract news, and player transactions. The Canucks are betting big on Zeev Buium being the real deal, signing the 20-year-old defenseman to an eight-year contract with a cap hit of $9.38 million ($75.04 million total). Buium finished with 12 [...]
With the start of the NHL season getting closer and mock drafts already well underway, what better time to start focusing on some value picks that could pay off for you later in your drafts. We all know who the top players in the league are and where most GMs are likely to draft them, [...]
Can you believe that the NHL season starts one month from now? No, not preseason games. No, not early games from another continent. Actual regular-season games on North American soil. The relevant rules for this league were covered in yesterday’s Ramblings, as is what Bubble Keeper Week is if you’re not familiar. Mats Zuccarello Zuccarello delivered 54 points in [...]
Bubble Keeper Week has begun at Dobber Hockey! If you’re not familiar, our writers will be discussing keeper decision for players who are on the “bubble.” Who might be on the bubble depends on league size and league rules. These aren’t necessarily the obvious names, but rather the players who could [...]
