DobberHockey Experts Panel – NHL Playoffs 2017

Dobber

2017-04-10

Back for another year of calling the winners of each round. Each year the members of the DobberHockey Panel  (made up of DH writers) have their ups and downs with making calls on each series. But as a group, the Panel’s consensus picks are eerily good. After seven years of doing this, the Panel’s record is 72-33. Astounding! I don’t even want to listen to my own picks anymore – I’ll make my picks, and then change them after we have a consensus!

That being said, last year I led the panel with the only 11-4 record! Certainly a rarity for me. Cam Robinson was second at 10-5.

By the way, if you're in a playoff pool and you're in need of a great player list – check out mine. It's customizable based on your picks, or you can just roll with my picks. Your choice! Pick it up here!

Just one series is unanimous – the Capitals will get past the Leafs. So wouldn't that be a monumental upset? My own picks disagree with consensus on the Chicago, Pittsburgh and St.Louis series.

And for the Final…

Always nice to see others that are higher on Nashville than the homer is!

For what it’s worth, I have Edmonton facing Minnesota in the Western Conference Finals. That should be enough games for McDavid to finish among the top five in scoring.

I got Caps vs Hawks, and the Hawks winning the Cup. I just took a whole bunch of Caps in my playoff pool, but go Leafs go!

Dobber, I’ve got the same first round picks as you, nice to see someone else picking the Preds! Though I have a Habs – Preds final (Subban vs. Weber)!

I took the Habs-Preds finals as well. I think if the Preds upset Chicago, that will give them the confidence the next few rounds.
