Tomas Kaberle will return on Friday. The Leafs decided to be cautious with him.

Rick DiPietro practiced today, and should be tonight's starter. It will be a game time decision, but it is looking good.

Fantasy Goalie Rankings have been updated.

Interesting stat – Martin Brodeur and Roberto Luongo have each faced exactly 1956 shots. What are the odds, eh? Of those shots, Brodeur has stopped 1804 while Luongo has stopped 1802. They each have 42 wins.

As you may recall on deadline day, I said Dainius Zubrus' fantasy value plummetted when he went to Buffalo. I was so confident in this that I traded him in my experts league for a depth defenseman (who I'll be dropping this week). He has two points in nine games with the Sabres.

Once again, Todd Bertuzzi has postponed his return to game action. Instead of Thursday it will be Saturday. I wonder if on Friday I will be reporting another delay…

Robert Nilsson played with Shawn Horcoff and Raffi Torres on Edmonton's first line last night. They scored the only goal for the team.

Joffrey Lupul did not play the second half of the third period. Perhaps because of the flu he was suffering from, or perhaps an injury…or perhaps he was just benched. I can't dig up a reason.

Jeff Cowan did not play in the third period for the Canucks…

Zetterberg has begun skating again, but will not be back in the lineup soon. Mike Babcock's goal is for Zetts to play in five games before the end of the year.

Rather than call up a player to play for Tootoo, Barry Trotz may use Marek Zidlicky up front for the five games. Keep an eye on that situation, as Zidlicky has a lot of offensive talent.

Steve Sullivan will not make Nashville's three-game road trip.

Gagne failed the test that I mentioned he was hoping to pass yesterday. He did not make it through the entire practice.  He is expected to miss their next two games. Gagne says he is trying to get to 80 per cent, and that he will never get to 100 per cent this year. He is looking at returning for Saturday.

Scottie Upshall is also looking at a Saturday return, which is well ahead of schedule. He suffered a slight separation of the joint between his clavicle and his breastbone.

Nik Zherdev left practice early yesterday because of back spasms. He is questionable for tonight's action. He was just starting to finally get hot.

Rusty Klesla will miss the next two weeks with his hip pointer, but intends to play a game or two before the end of the season.

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – The Wilkes-Jarry Penguins

Elizabeth and Lewis are back to take listeners through a host of power play changes that are giving managers the opportunity to get exposure to great players off the waiver wire, including Philly, Jersey, and Tampa talk. They also cover Jarry’s AHL demotion, Cooley’s ascension to the top-line and powerplay, and injuries to Tavares and Hintz.
