Mike Richards will be out for the next 7-10 days with a slight shoulder separation. He has been very hot of late, so this is unfortunate. However, his stats will stay crappy for this year as a result, which makes him a cheaper pickup in the summer in both keeper leagues and one-year pools.

TSN is reporting that it will indeed by Thursday that Todd Bertuzzi will make his Detroit debut.

Mark Parrish was hit off the arm by a slapshot and left the game last night. No further details have been given.

Markus Naslund has gone six games without a point.

Jeff O'Neil is up to 11 games without a point now.

Chris Pronger, Brad May and Todd Marchant all skated a full practice yesterday and will be on their road trip beginning Thursday. It is possible that for the first time in several months, the Ducks will have a full team playing on Thursday.

Dan Paille is "close" and could be back in the Buffalo lineup any day now. Ales Kotalik has stated that early next week is his target to return.

Dainius Zubrus plays his former mates the Caps tonight.

Craig Conroy returned to the Calgary lineup last night. He was a non-factor.

As expected with the return of goalie Craig "Killer" Kowalski to the ECHL, Cam Ward is ready to return to the Carolina lineup.

Edmonton Oilers defenseman Steve Staios will have season-ending knee surgery. Not a fantasy factor.

Funny: On the front page of a Calgary newspaper Tuesday was the Avalanche logo, photo-shopped into a rearview mirror with the words "Object may be closer than it appears."

Steve Ott is looking to return sometime in the next three Dallas games.

Dan Cleary did not return to the Detroit lineup last night, but apparently will on Thursday. Todd Bertuzzi is also a possibility for Thursday. The Detroit Free Press is saying either Thursday or Saturday for Big Bert. The Detroit News is still saying "Thursday".

The Kings' Anze Kopitar, out 11 games because of a back injury, went through a full practice with the team Tuesday and could be ready to play by the end of the week, Crawford said.

Not only will Marek Zidlicky be moved to forward for tonight, but you may also see Ryan Suter there. The Preds are hurting up front, yet have eight healthy defensemen.

Scott Hartnell will resume skating within the next week. He should be back in about two weeks.

Brendan Shanahan will return to the Rangers lineup tonight against Philadelphia.
