It looks as if the Pens found a taker for Recchi. They placed him on waivers. Upon re-entry, I figure a team will take him for the discount.

In keeping with my promise to let you know when I have something posted on another website, I wrote today's Daily Slate . I wrote yesterday's as well (but forgot to announce it here).

DobberHockey is now ranked 99,352 in the world according to Alexa . Cracking the top 100,000 for the first time. DH has hit the mark for the week and for the day before, but never overall.

Carey Price will go tonight. He is over the flu enough to get the go ahead.

The Habs are going to put Mark Streit on the top line with Koivu and Higgins. I don't really see that working, but because he is a 'D' in Yahoo, he makes an excellent pickup if he is available.

Shawn Horcoff has six points in his last three games and 11 in his last eight.

The line on MA Fleury over three games: 3-0-0 with one shutout and 0.66 GAA, .971 SV%

Ryan Suter has four points and 11 shots in his last four games.

Stephen Weiss will return to the lineup Wednesday. He has missed time with a 'head injury'.

Team Canada's under 20 invitees were announced. Click here to see the camp roster .

Radim Vrbata missed his second game last night with a groin injury, but he will be back in the lineup next game.

Joe Sakic will likely miss tomorrow's contest with his groin injury. He is still day to day, but has yet to practice.

Simon Gagne is skating with the team, but wears the "red cross" jersey for no contact.

With the suspension of Scott Nichol (five games), look for Darcy Hordichuk to draw back into the lineup.

Vern Fiddler is playing through a groin problem.

Milan Lucic returned to the Boston lineup last night and played 5:41.

As expected, Bochenski was a healthy scratch yesterday.

Ladislav Nagy broke a long slump when he scored late in last night's game. Generally speaking, when he scores a goal it leads to several decent offensive games before he hits the skids again.

Despite Sunday's promising news, Jiri Novotny failed a concussion test later Monday morning and will have to rest for at least another few days.

Pascal Leclaire returned to the starter's role last night and stopped 33 of 34 shots.

David Vyborny missed last night's contest with a sore back.

Manny Malhotra's knee injury will keep him on the shelf for two weeks.

Jarkko Ruutu and Mark Recchi were healthy scratches last night, Sergei Gonchar missed because of his groin injury.

The Pens play seven of their next eight on the road.
