Just an FYI – Nabokov was pulled after one period, even though he had a shutout going, because it was a rough game and coach Wilson felt that Dallas might try running him. He is not injured.

Washington is in the postseason with a win yesterday over Florida. What better way to celebrate their win than to have one of their players autograph a jersey for the DobberHockey Playoff Pool FIRST PRIZE. That's right – Nicklas Backstrom, who assisted on the insurance marker and finishes the season second to Patrick Kane in rookie scoring, has signed a No.19 Washington jersey and whoever wins my FREE pool will get it. The good fellas at hockeyknight.com made this happen, so do me a favor and check out their site and sign up for the big announcement of their launch. By the way – click here for details on how to get into the pool. Backstrom!

Tomas Holmstrom will play today – keep an eye on his ice time as his groin injury is serious and he received cortosone treatment, which to me is just a band-aid solution. He is a playoff warrior, so it's a boom or bust playoff pick.

Mikael Samuelsson may not start the playoffs this week. His groin is bothering him.

Marc Savard is hoping to play in the first game of the post season. At the draft, spread the word about how he has a broken bone in his back, then scoop him up in the last round.

The Columbus Dispatch is speculating that David Vyborny, who will likely miss today's game with the flu, may go back to the Czech League next year.

Both Jonathan Cheechoo and Devin Setoguchi will be back in the San Jose lineup today. Craig Rivet is "probable"

Chris Pronger's suspension is over and he will be back in the lineup today for the Ducks.

Gary Roberts is expected to play today for the Pens.

Injured player rundown for teams who are done for the summer:
ATL – Steve Rucchin (concussion) likely done for career. Erik Christensen (sprained MCL) will be back next year and should clear 50 points.
BUF – Dmitri Kalinin (shoulder) unrestricted free agent next year. Tim Connolly (hip) will be back next season. At least he didn't have concussion problems. He may be worth a flyer as he is a point per game guy. Say 60 games and 60 points.
CAR – Justin Williams (shoulder) a blessing in disguise because his knee needed longer to heal. David Tanabe (concussion) is pretty much a fringe fantasy rearguard now. Patrick Eaves (shoulder) could be a 50-point player next year, but is too fragile. Rod Brind'Amour (torn ACL) never ages and is under contract for three more years. You can get him cheap in keeper leagues so why not?
EDM – Raffi Torres (knee) will be back next year but has established his range at 40-45 points. Shawn Horcoff (knee) will be back next year and unless they get a No.1 center he should still be good for 70. Ales Hemsky (knee) missed last game of season. Could break out next year, but always seems to miss 5-10 games for one thing or another.
FLA – Richard Zednik (neck) whether he plays again or not, he has disappointed offensively all his career. Noah Welch (shoulder), Mike Van Ryn (wrist) will need to win their positions in the fall – nothing is certain on the FLA back end.
LA – Ladislav Nagy (neck) is a UFA this summer. May go play in the RSL or Czech League. Best to stay away from. Jason LaBarbera (hernia) will not start next season, he may be a back up. The Kings have Ersberg who has been awesome, and Bernier, not to mention Cloutier. Jack Johnson (foot) will progress next year, but looks to be a long term project like Jay Bouwmeester. A long wait for his 60-point offense. Kyle Calder (finger) is a fringe NHLer now.
NYI – Jon Sim (knee) may have a new life next year and is a dark horse for 45 points. He could also be a bust. Mike Sillinger (hip) is not getting any younger and is not worth owning anymore. Andy Hilbert (ankle) flashes of brilliance, but for some reason can not make himself fantasy worthy. Ruslan Fedotenko (knee) is an unrestricted free agent. Rick DiPietro (hip) will be a Top 7 fantasy goalie next year. Mike Comrie (flu) missed six games because of this? I say it's "Hillary Duff" syndrome. Chris Campoli (shoulder) was really coming into his own…put him down for 45 next season.
TB – Paul Ranger (shoulder) had a great year, but with Picard on the team Ranger may have slipped to No.3 in terms of offense from the D. Shane O'Brien (undisclosed injury) will be a 25-point, 160 PIM guy next year. Vincent Lecavalier (shoulder) will be recovering from surgery until August, but will be ready for camp. He rarely misses a game, so now is the time to go after him in a keeper league. Chris Gratton (hip) unrestricted free agent. Ryan Craig (knee) is a certified Band-aid Boy. Stay away.
TOR – Kyle Wellwood (groin) bothered him for last two years. Dump him. Mats Sundin (groin) unrestricted free agent. Nik Antropov (knee) sell high, because he won't be this healthy again.
VAN – Mason Raymond (knee) will see improved responsibility next year. Taylor Pyatt (concussion) will still be my secret dark horse next season – that was the age when Bertuzzi exploded. Mattias Ohlund (knee surgery) is a 35-point rearguard. Brendan Morrison (torn ACL) is a UFA but won't see 65 points ever again. Lukas Krajicek (shoulder) is too fragile, but has good upside. Give him two more years to get rolling.

The Playoff Draft List is now updated with Carolina out of the mix – go to "downloads" and pull the file again if you paid for it.
