Daniel Alfredsson returned to the lineup last night. Randy Robitaille was scratched to make room. Alffy played 17:08 and did not factor in the scoring.

Colin Campbell announcing a new rule: "an unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalty will be interpreted and applied, effective immediately, to a situation when an offensive player positions himself facing the opposition goaltender and engages in actions such as waving his arms or stick in front of the goaltenders face." Vancouver fired GM Dave Nonis Monday. According to TSN, Nonis was very close to signing Fabian Brunnstrom, but this firing puts that in jeopardy.

As expected, the Coyotes signed their Hobey Baker winner Kevin Porter to an entry-level deal.

Barry Trotz played Alexander Radulov for 17 minutes and he picked up two points and the Preds won. Well whaddya know?
