Saku Koivu did infact play last night and had 2 assists in over 15 mins. of ice-time. However Montreal lost anyways as Boston forced game 7.
Mike Knuble left yesterdays game with a hamstring injury and is apparently done for the series.
Nick Schultz returned to the Minnesota lineup last night only 2 weeks after an emergency appendectomy. No matter Colorado won 2-1 and took the series in 6.
Minnesota just can't raise their intensity level during the playoffs it seems. Again they were bounced in the 1st round. There will be rumblings for a coaching change here and if Gaborik and P.M Bouchard ever got into a system that wasn't so defensive and trap orienated their offence would be scary.
Just to toot the boss's horn: After Phil Kessel was benched for 3 straight games he has played inspired hockey in leading the Bruins to 2 consecutive wins. Last night he notched a pair of goals and was the games 1st star.
Barry Trotz is hoping Arnott can play today after he had a mysterious illness that sidelined him in the Preds. game 5 loss.
