Raffi Torres (knee) has resumed skating. He will be ready for training camp and will audtion for a second-line job. His upside is 55 points and 120 penalty minutes, even though the best we've seen so far is 41 and 88. A new team means a new role. I predicted 33 points and 90 PIMs in the Fantasy Guide, but there is upside.
The Alexander Radulov IIHF decision will come down this week. That decision could kickstart some NHL news during this dry spell. If he is banned from competing in IIHF-sanctioned events, he may come back to Nashville for another year. If that happens, the Preds may not feel comfortable with him playing for them, which would mean a trade. Or, if they do feel comfortable… they may give him the ice time he deserves or risk losing him next year. If Radulov is not banned, then the Preds will probably sign Mark Parrish or Glen Murray, and perhaps swing a deal with Tampa Bay (who are heavy with forwards).
The DobberHockey Fantasy Guide is updated about weekly all the way into October. The new "lowdown" feature has proven to be quite popular. If there is any player who you would like a "lowdown" on, please flip me an email: dobber at dobberhockey dot com.

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – The Wilkes-Jarry Penguins
Elizabeth and Lewis are back to take listeners through a host of power play changes that are giving managers the opportunity to get exposure to great players off the waiver wire, including Philly, Jersey, and Tampa talk. They also cover Jarry’s AHL demotion, Cooley’s ascension to the top-line and powerplay, and injuries to Tavares and Hintz. The duo wrap up with some hot and cold streak deep dives, including discussion of the Red Wings crazy powerplay success in the last ten games, whether Erik Gustafsson is rosterable or an overperforming illusion, Fantilli’s continued success, Merilainen as Hamburglar 2.0, and whether Schenn’s success and Neighbours’ lack thereof are likely to continue.
