Chicago has sent down Jack Skille. He wasn't get the ice time, and Kris Versteeg has been nothing short of marvelous. Troy Brouwer has been recalled. He, Skille and Petri Kontiola will rotate recalls throughout the year, with the best of the three perhaps getting in 35 games and 15 points.

Ryan Getzlaf missed last night's game with dental problems. He took a stick to the mouth last week and it got infected, really distracting him with the pain.

It turns out the Canucks recalled Jason Krog instead of Michel Ouellet. It looks as though the Canucks will be afraid to recall Ouellet, because if another team claims him on re-entry waivers, Vancouver would have a pretty big half-salary they would be responsible for. I think Ouellet will be down there for the year.

Ottawa has shaken up their lines. Fisher will center Alfredsson and Heatley, while Spezza will center Foligno and Winchester. Frankly, I would have Vermette there over Foligno, because he played with Spezza during the lockout and the two had great success.

The Wild have sent Kolanos back down.

Sami Salo missed last night's contest with a groin injury.

The Caps' Michal Neuvirth has been re-assigned to Hershey, so his ECHL 'banishment' was just short-term.

Blake Wheeler's ice time was down to 10:37 last night, with negligible PP time.

David Krejci, despite going pointless last night, as again proven himself to be a future star with his play early on. You just knew that his ice time would be rather low to start and that he would put up numbers anyway. It was and he has, and now he's getting the ice time he deserves. Last night was 19:28 with PP time on the second unit. He has been underrated for several years now and is finally getting recognition.

Clarke MacArthur saw nearly 18 minutes for the Sabres last night. He should get 45-50 points this season…and much more next year.

The Leafs scratched Ian White again. Colaiacovo was also scratched. Stralman played nearly 20 minutes.

Jiri Tlusty saw just 12:30 of ice time last night. Blake just 14:15.

The Ducks benched Chris Kunitz throughout overtime last night. He could be falling into Carlyle's bad books.

Toskala owners were robbed of a point when the Leafs put in Cujo for the shootout. Toskala played the entire game, but Joseph came in and lost the shootout, thus earning the OTL point. He made zero saves on two shots and earned a point for those (very) few owners who have him in their league. Something's wrong with that scoring system, eh?

Looks like Filatov will be my new Radulov. Hitchcock played him for 4:51 last night and did not give him PP time. His one point in three games…can be considered one point in one game, since he's played 18 minutes this year.

Jakub Voracek 10:53 of ice time, two more points.

The Jackets scratched Kris Russell

The Thrashers scratched Sterling again.

Jason Williams may be wearing out his welcome in Atlanta – he played just 11:55 last night. The prior game was 11:43, prior to that was 14:11 and 17:35. His ice time is dropping each game and now it sits at a third/fourth line level. He doesn't fit with this coach, drop him until he moves to a new team or bounces back from a healthy scratch.

The Caps scratched Eric Fehr.

Mark Giordano was down to 12:55 of ice time last night, which was lowest among Calgary D. Watch for further cutbacks, as that is an indicator that he may get scratched soon.

It turns out that Gaborik got injured when he played hackey sack last week. Wow – doesn't get any more Band-Aid Boy than that

Petr Kalus has left the Wild and gone back to Europe. I'm wondering if the Houston Aeros need a major shake-up: coach, GM, staff, the works. I say this because they haven't been much of a scoring team since O'Sullivan was traded for Demitra. Pouliot and Kalus barely mustered points the last two years, Voloshenko and Kalus left for Europe…offense is just not being developed there.

Bryan McCabe (back) will be out for about another month.

Craig Anderson will get the start tonight for Florida.
