Site was down for two hours – we worked on it the entire time, not exactly sure what the problem was but I will post when I know more.

Ryan Whitney has been traded – full breakdown on the homepage.

The Sens have recalled Martin Gerber, putting him through re-entry waivers. Perhaps Buffalo bit?

Pavol Demitra is out with a fractured finger, so Tottenham recalled Michael Grabner, ranked 45th on my prospects list.

It was a bad night in fantasy hockey and a step backwards in the NHL's quest for more offense. Eight teams played and only 10 goals were scored. You could not have been happy looking at the summaries this morning unless you own Hossa, who broke his mini-slump (but sustained a possible concussion – more below), Carter, Zetterberg and Draper, the night's only multi-point getters, or Biron/Fleury who posted shutouts. That's a short list of owners. To commemorate this, I will only refer to NHL teams as English Premier League names. Soccer fans, don't be upset if I put a strong EPL name on a weak NHL team and vice-versa – I'm not up on my latest football stats.

Manchester United's Wade Redden played nearly 26 minutes under the new coach and scored the team's only goal. As I said when the coaching change was made, as well as in yesterday's Dobber Nation (LISTEN HERE while you read these ramblings!), Torts will play the hell out of his stars. Proof: Gomez 21:27, Drury 21:15. Surprisingly, the next top forward was not Naslund, but Dubinsky at 19:56. He also played Roszival, Girardi and Staal heavily.

Liverpool has assigned Brandon Sutter to the minors for conditioning. This is due to the play of Jussi Jokinen.

From the Chicago Sun-Times, er I mean the "Chelsea Standard" – (Chelsea) sent goal(keeper) Antti Niemi back to Rockford on Wednesday, but not because Nikolai Khabibulin is ready to play again. (Chelsea) wanted Niemi to get playing time, and he was scheduled to be in net for the IceHogs on Wednesday night in Peoria. Niemi has yet to get in a game with (Chelsea).

Aston Villa has sent down Scott Clemmensen, as Martin Brodeur will get the start tonight. Had they sent down Weekes, he would have needed to clear waivers. Doesn't sound fair, but you can't lose a player for nothing so Clemmer had to go.

Sidney Crosby's groin injury caused him to sit out last night's contest. Janne Pesonen was recalled, but did not play even though his AHL coach is now the NHL coach. Crosby is questionable for tomorrow.
Ryan Whitney did not play due to personal reasons.

Jason Chimera will be out of the Sunderland lineup for at least a week with a groin injury.

Everton is hoping to extend the contract of their goalie Nicklas Backstrom. He would be a UFA this summer and is a candidate to be moved. Harding owners are praying that the two cannot come to an agreement.

Man U's newest acquisition – Mark Bell – will probably be assigned to the minors where, incidentally, Sean Avery scored his first goal last night.

Vincent Lecavalier is still limping, but it is just a bruised foot. He has another 36 hours to recover before the next game. Sorry, the next "match".

Marian Hossa saw limited minutes due to a possible minor concussion last night, though coach Babcock says he was "fine".  The team is pretty mum on the situation.

Elizabeth and Lewis reunite to bring you all the latest fantasy news and strategy, such as how our siblings would fare if called on to fill our roles like Owen Sillinger did for bro Cole. Then it’s onto news including coverage of the postponed CGY/LAK game and defensive injuries piling up in MIN and putting some strain on Gustavsson’s performance. Injuries and outjuries include a pair of goalies returning to their teams in Ingram and Shesterkin, as well as how Monahan’s wrist injury opens the door for big minutes for Fantilli. Finally, the pair touch on Voronkov and PLD’s hot streaks, and discuss John Carlson’s rollercoaster in light of Chychrun’s production.

Keeping Karlsson: Tuch Hunch

On this edition of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast mega-show, Elan and Brian tour every team, ranking a slate of the least bad goalies, noticing the wind in some Red Wings’ and Stars’ sails, dangling snoozer status above a pair of commonly rostered power-play quarterbacks, and rushing or strolling, accordingly, to some skaters on the up and up.
