Take from this what you will - but Martin St. Louis intrigues the Penguins according to this TB blog.  After stopping 46 of 48 shots last night, Jaroslav Halak picked up the win. With Price's struggles, the Habs need Halak to take over for now - Price, though nobody will say it, I believe is [...]

Many fantasy leagues have their playoffs the last few weeks of the regular season. Over the next few weeks I would like to address the 'playoff' schedule a few times. I want the analysis to be tailored to your rules, your formats, yours teams and your concerns so please post your playoff schedule questions in the 'Article Feedback' forum.

Just realized that the March 7 Marlies game (BUY NOW ) is at 4PM - so you can go to that game, and still catch the Leafs game afterwards - if that was holding you back.  Oscar Moller played just nine minutes in his return to the LA lineup. The Coyotes have sent Kyle Turris to [...]

NHL lines, much like modern day relationships, rarely last. With Valentine’s Day nearly upon us, I thought I would dedicate this week’s drivel to my sweethearts of the Eastern Conference:

Angus here. Keep an eye on Alex Burrows, who played the last half of the St. Louis game with the Sedin twins. He will play in that spot tonight as well against Phoenix. Me and Dobber differ a bit in our respective stances on the importance of line combos in fantasy hockey. He disregards them [...]

fantasy hockey

Welcome once again to “An Expert’s Audit”. This audit will be posted here as well as on my fantasy hockey blog at Hockey Analysis . During the season I also do weekly reviews of teams for people who email in to me for a look-see, they’re less indepth but just as much fun. Dobber audits will continue to appear here monthly and if you’re interested in having your keeper team “worked over” then you can begin by emailing Dobber about it BEFORE February 19th.

This month, and every month through March, not only does a lucky entrant get his or her team audited, but he or she also receives a FREE book courtesy of Firefly Books . The winner will receive either "Shooting From the Lip " or "Hockey Now! "

Sergei Gonchar could finally be back in the lineup on Saturday against the Leafs. Awesome discussin in the forum about my bold "goalie system" statement below. Have a look !  Alex Tanguay will be back in the Montreal lineup early next week.  Cory Murphy has just one point in his last six games after storming out of [...]

The final stretch of the fantasy season is about to begin, whether you are 20 points up on your competition or 20 points down, now is the time to make a late season surge. The waiver wire is littered with tons of potential pickups and if you are in a position where you are looking up at the competition, you’ll need to take some gambles in order to get you to the finish line.

Trying to predict the next breakout star in the NHL is something we all enjoy. It involves both research and prognosticating, and often taking a risk or two. I tend to take moderate risks when proclaiming my picks for breakout stars. No guts, no glory, right? (Might be a bit of an exaggeration, as we are simply talking fantasy hockey here, but who cares!)

I love being able to just write my understanding of things ... and those rare (yeah, right) times I am wrong, my man fzusher has my back. As he explains in the forum , Euro signings need to go through all 29 teams via waivers before the team that signs him gets him. So I [...]
