Draft List is updated again – cap hit issue fixed, and goalies fixed.
The DobberHockey Draft List is updated now and posted. Includes BAB column and salary/cap hit.
Tim Kennedy is reportedly close to signing with the Rangers, according to beat-writer Andrew Gross. I could name 20 teams that would be a better fit for him. He’ll have to earn a top six spot – and it would be at the expense of Mats Zucarello-Aasen. I’ll put the analysis on this one when it becomes official.
Phoenix has re-signed Lee Stempniak to a two-year contract, according to the Arizona Republic. As mentioned in yesterday’s article, Radim Vrbata stands to lose the most power-play time as a result of this move. It also hurts Brett McLean and Mikkel Boedker in terms of cracking the roster this year, though I think McLean deserves a spot. There definitely will not be room for both. I’ll fire up a full analysis later.
The Fantasy Guide, updated yesterday, can be purchased here. The Draft List, free with the Fantasy Guide, will be updated later today – now with Band-Aid Boys indicated, as well as salary.
Some news that our forum members dug up –
From Nordic Crusaders: Jere Lehtinen is seriously considering retirement.
From tmlpowerplay: The New York Post is speculating that Travis Zajac could be dealt if the Ilya Kovalchuk contract goes through. This is due to his high trade value and lack of a no-trade clause. Whereas more preferable candidates like Bryce Salvador, Dainius Zubrus and Patrik Elias either have an NTC, or they suck too much for their money (I’m paraphrasing).
The Oilers have signed Sam Gagner to a two-year deal. Now there, my friend, is a guy who could explode this season. His wingers just upgraded from me on the left wing and you on the right wing…to Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle. Um….
