Fantasy Hockey Podcast: The fellas record a live show discussing waiver wire picks, the hottest lines and more.

For the first time ever, this most recent episode of the Keeping Karlsson Fantasy Hockey Podcast was recorded live!

This week's show kicked off with a look at a couple of likely fantasy free agent top six wingers who can help your fantasy team down the stretch, so long as they can hold on to the coattails of their respective superstar centremen.

Elan and Brian then moved on to locating the hottest streaks around the league, pinpointing players in Minnesota's top six and on Ottawa's blue line, as well as taking note of Philadelphia's left-wing depth, an unleashed Toronto centre, and a Hurricane who is producing despite playing on what must be their third line.

We also looked at shifting lineups around the league and the subsequent opportunities that have become available, including an unlikely goal-scorer in New York, a top line rookie in New Jersey, and de facto depth chart climbing d-man in Calgary.

And finally, the show wraps up with a Lightning Round in which we take questions from our live studio audience.

Keeping Karlsson Short Shifts – The Wilkes-Jarry Penguins

Elizabeth and Lewis are back to take listeners through a host of power play changes that are giving managers the opportunity to get exposure to great players off the waiver wire, including Philly, Jersey, and Tampa talk. They also cover Jarry’s AHL demotion, Cooley’s ascension to the top-line and powerplay, and injuries to Tavares and Hintz. The duo wrap up with some hot and cold streak deep dives, including discussion of the Red Wings crazy powerplay success in the last ten games, whether Erik Gustafsson is rosterable or an overperforming illusion, Fantilli’s continued success, Merilainen as Hamburglar 2.0, and whether Schenn’s success and Neighbours’ lack thereof are likely to continue.
