DFS Tuesday: Ross-co P Coltrane (April 26, 2022)

The last week of the regular season has NHL teams in various stages of competition. Some, like Calgary, are fully clinched into their playoff spot, and could even give Jacob Markstrom an extra night off. Others, like Dallas, Nashville, and Vegas are more desperate with each game played. A DFS play ignoring these nuances is like playing darts blindfolded.
GO FOR: DALLAS STARS. The Stars are a very different team at home (25-10-3), compared to their road games (19-20-2). Playing against Vegas tonight in a "four-point-game" that will clinch a playoff spot, stack Roope Hintz ($6400, $21), Jason Robertson ($6000, $24), and Joe Pavelski ($5500, $25). Vegas has been ok – but just ok – with Logan Thompson, but a four-goal Stars effort when it counts most?? Yeah.
GO FOR: ROSS COLTON. If you don't know this name, you've been asleep this month. Colton ($3000, $20) has 10 G and 35 SOG, in 13 games in April. With the Lightning firmly into the #3 spot in the Atlantic division, look for the third line to get a lot more TOI, and Colton to become the trigger man.
GO FOR (Goalie): JUSSE SAROS. A still-desperate Preds team, at home, will need their keeper to steal this game. Saros ($7400, $34) absolutely can. And Darryl Sutter can only push his players so much, their feet may be off the gas pedal tonight. And since you're probably not affording Roman Josi ($8400, $30) on this play, so I'll roster Mattias Ekholm ($3400, $18)
STAY AWAY: Carolina Hurricanes at very hot Igor Shesterkin, and the coin-flips in Pittsburgh (vs Oilers) and Colorado (vs St. Louis).
FILLING OUT ROSTER: Thomas Chabot ($5900, $19) vs. New Jersey, Eriksson-Ek ($4300, $21), and my Utility player, Kirill Kaprizov ($8000, $31) vs the Coyotes.
Just my second time playing it on DraftKings, no chance I'd get all these guys on a Yahoo roster!
