Only two betting Saturdays remain of the 2025-26 NHL campaign – meaning, we're fired up and ready to get after it with another handful of great spots for hockey wagering. Our last picks piece here at Dobber Hockey was a clean sweep for our gold, silver, and bronze plays and we're looking to stay red-hot while padding the playoff pocketbook with another big slate. A quiet Friday in the NHL which featured only four teams in action results in a number of clubs rested and ready to further their postseason push this evening. We're keeping things real simple with our breakdowns this week with some perfect plays to add into a juicy parlay. Let's tap in and get this paper.

Updated 2025-26 Saturday Record (Daily Record Tracked/Posted @Flips_Picks):

Gold Selection
New York Islanders @ Carolina Hurricanes – Pick: Hurricanes PL -1.5 (-104)

The New York Islanders are choosing a REALLY bad time of year to play some of their worst hockey of the season. Aside from bench boss Patrick Roy on the brink of snapping a gasket on his group with frustration, the Isles have simply looked anemic over the last three games and things do not get any easier against a Carolina club that's offense is starting to click as it looks to pad its lead on the Eastern Conference crown.

Like we alluded to above, with only two weeks left of regular-season puck, this is the perfect time to keep things simple when it comes to picking your betting angles to back. This is an ideal situation for the Canes at home and the classic case of two teams trending in different directions.

Cherry on top? Carolina is 14-3 at home over its last 17 and flaunts six consecutive dubs against New York while defending Lenovo Center ice. The Islanders got stymied by Dan Vladar and the Philadelphia Flyers just last night with Ilya Sorokin in the cage, which likely means David Rittich (.894 SV%) is in the blue paint tonight. It's go time with Carolina on the puck line.

Silver Selection
Utah Mammoth @ Vancouver Canucks – Pick: Mammoth ML (-210)

We've said it before and we'll say it again: it's fade o'clock in Van City. Backing Utah here isn't about overthinking the number, it's about recognizing one of the clearest mismatches on the board and capitalizing, even if the price isn't screaming value. The Mammoth come into this one in strong road form, winning four of their last five away from home, and they've completely owned this matchup with six straight wins over the Canucks. That kind of sustained dominance isn't fluky — it's a trend.

What really pushes this play over the top is motivation paired with production. Utah is actively battling to secure their playoff position, currently holding down a top wild-card spot in the Western Conference, and they're playing like a team that understands the urgency. Offensively, they've exploded for 16 goals over their last three games, which spells serious trouble for a Canucks squad that has been historically bad defensively, allowing a league-worst 286 goals this season.

This is a textbook case of a hot, motivated team facing a defensively broken opponent with nothing to play for. Sure, -210 isn't a bargain, but it's a rock-solid anchor for any parlay. Sometimes simple is sharp and this is one of those spots.

Bronze Selection
Toronto Maple Leafs @ L.A. Kings – Pick: Kings ML (-188)

At first glance, the recent head-to-head numbers might nudge bettors toward Toronto, but digging deeper into the current state of these teams tells a very different story. The Toronto Maple Leafs may have taken two of the last three meetings, but this version of the Leafs is a far cry from the one that earned those wins. Right now, Toronto is lost in the sauce and the vibes are extremely low for a team that has just been eliminated from playoff contention for the first time in a decade.

On the flip side, the Kings are exactly the type of team you want to back in this spot—structured, confident, and playing on home ice where they've been consistently reliable. This isn't just about numbers; it's about situational awareness. The Kings have something to play for, while the Leafs are likely dealing with frustration, disengagement, and a long flight into a tough building.

This is definitely more of a gut-feel angle, but sometimes those are the ones you trust most. And trust us when we say this Leafs team is cooked. At -188, you're getting a focused home team against an opponent that looks mentally checked out — an edge that's hard to quantify, but very real when the puck drops.

Side Bets
Detroit Red Wings @ New York Rangers – Pick: Patrick Kane Anytime Goal (+270)
Florida Panthers @ Pittsburgh Penguins – Pick: Sidney Crosby Anytime Assist (-104)
Nashville Predators @ San Jose Sharks – Pick: Over 6.5
