You may be wondering why you’re seeing a poll for a second week in a row when the normal format of Roos Lets Loose is a rotating set of four columns. Well, it’s because of the now annual tradition of Bubble Keeper Week at DobberHockey; and rather than devoting a special edition of Goldipucks and [...]
It’s time for a staple poll where you decide which players will hit the all-important point-per-game mark for the first time in the upcoming season. If past seasons are any indication, it is fewer than you might expect, as in 2023-24 only five of the 38 players who scored at a point-per-game rate while appearing [...]
Welcome back to Goldipucks and the Three Skaters, a play on words of the Goldilocks and the Three Bears story. Instead of there being three bowls of porridge though, I cover three skaters and declare one too hot (i.e., doing unsustainably better than he should), another too cold (i.e., doing unsustainably worse), and a third [...]
I’m departing from normal Roos Lets Loose content to cover something every fantasy hockey GM should be thinking about right now, and that’s doing a team audit. Why now? There’s been enough time after signings, trades, and buyouts for things to come into focus regarding next season, plus keeper decisions will be due soon for [...]
Welcome back to another edition of the Roos Lets Loose monthly mailbag, where I answer your fantasy hockey questions by giving advice that should be useful to all poolies even if they don’t own the specific players being discussed. As a reminder, if you want your fantasy hockey question(s) answered in the next mailbag, check [...]

And although the playoffs of course represent only a brief snapshot as compared to an 82-game regular [...]
Welcome back to Forum Buzz, where I peruse the DobberHockey Forums and weigh in on active, heavily debated, or otherwise relevant recent threads, reminding folks just how great a resource the Forums are. Nearly anything might be covered here, other than trades and signings, which usually get their own separate write-ups on the main site [...]

My annual June poll looks at players who’ve either strung together a streak of three of more seasons where their scoring pace has increased in each, or who’ve played a total of only three seasons but scored at a higher pace in each one thus far, and, in both cases, they averaged at least a [...]
