The Toronto Maple Leafs and their blue line, for whatever reason, is a spot of debate for hockey fans of all stripes, at least online. Kyle Dubas has altered his approach to defencemen and the deadline a bit and gone heavy on depth. Part of this depth is now Erik Gustafsson, acquired from Washington for [...]

One of the long-rumoured players to be traded was in fact dealt on Tuesday afternoon as the Jesse Puljujärvi era in Edmonton has finally come to an end. After many ups and downs, 51 goals, 317 games, and a pair of playoff appearances, he is off to Carolina in a straight one-for-one player swap: https://twitter.com/FriedgeHNIC/status/1630620295785594907 [...]

The Toronto Maple Leafs trade prospect forwards Joey Anderson and Pavel Gogolev, a conditional first-round pick in 2025, a 2026 second-round pick to Chicago for defenseman Jake McCabe and checking forward Sam Lafferty, plus two fifth-round picks (2024 and 2025). The Tampa Bay Lightning traded defenseman Cal Foote, a conditional first-round pick in 2025, a second in 2024 as well as third, fourth and fifth rounders in the upcoming draft this summer – all for feisty forward Tanner Jeannot. The Vegas Golden Knights have acquired forward Ivan Barbashev from the St. Louis Blues for prospect Zach Dean. The Blues continue to clean house, as Vladimir Tarasenko, Ryan O’Reilly, and now Barbashev have been traded away. The 27-year-old Barbashev has 29 points (10 G, 19 A) in 59 games this season. His pace is down [...]

The Winnipeg Jets have acquired winger Nino Niederreiter from the Nashville Predators for a second-round pick in the 2024 draft.
