March Madness. For most (i.e. “ignorant”) Americans, March Madness is about skipping work for a couple of days each week to watch college basketball all day on T.V.

For us “more refined” Americans, March Madness consists of watchingleprechaun ridiculously entertaining hockey games, preparing ourselves for the upcoming NHL playoffs and going for gold in out own fantasy hockey playoffs. Throw in some green beer and St. Patrick’s Month and you’re good to go.

"Quarter Beats Notch"

That's how the headline should have appeared this week, as the flipping of the quarter was enough to top the mighty Notch in last Saturday's games.

In fact, if you were to discount the massive lead that Notch built up over the first two weeks (when all the readers had quickly written Burnsy off), Notch would be far behind right now. As it stands, his formerly gaping lead is now pretty slim.

Here are this week's picks for Saturday's NHL winners...

One of the worst decisions in the history of minor league management has finally been reversed. With the Tampa Bay Lightning's farm down to little more than a stable, and Falcons management fed up with sub-par prospects, the Edmonton Oilers have finally found a home for their cacophony of kids. So what does this move mean for prospects on both sides? And how does it impact your keeper league?

When Edmonton Oilers general manager Kevin Lowe traded away Ryan Smyth to the New York Islanders at the February 27 trade deadline, he did more than just send the heart and soul of the team packing. I think he accidentally packed Edmonton’s goal scoring into that suitcase.
