Bubble keeper week rolls on here at Dobber Hockey. We are helping readers get to the bottom of their keeper decisions at the end of their roster. These are the decisions that can make or break fantasy seasons because it’s getting the 8th-round value performing as a top-30 fantasy option that helps put rosters over [...]
For the last 21 years (12 with The Hockey News) Dobber and the team have reviewed each team from a fantasy-hockey standpoint and graded them. The 22nd annual review will appear here on DobberHockey throughout the summer. This is not a review of the likely performance on the ice or in the standings, but in [...]
Welcome back to Goldipucks and the Three Skaters, a play on words of the Goldilocks and the Three Bears story. Instead of there being three bowls of porridge though, I cover three skaters and declare one too hot (i.e., doing unsustainably better than he should), another too cold (i.e., doing unsustainably worse), and a third [...]
Does anyone remember the three-way trade a few years ago between Nashville, Vegas, and Philadelphia, where former second and sixth overall picks were moved, along with a top pair defenceman on an eight-year deal and another six-foot-five right shot defenceman? Over the last few seasons, during bubble week I have focused on the format I know and that is a 25-team salary cap ($88.0 million) keeper pool with 27 players on each roster (20 active and seven in reserve, but all salaries count). As it is the off-season, we allow each team to carry 28 [...]
Fifty-three days. That’s all we have left until the puck officially drops on the 2024-25 NHL season. More importantly, that leaves only about seven weeks of fantasy draft prep and research to get a leg up on opposing GMs and be ready to go once names start flying off the board. In terms of this [...]
