Well folks, we’re midway through November, and by now we’ve seen a decent sample size across the board from all teams and players. A couple weeks ago I was preaching patience and I highlighted a few players who it would be wise to give some more time. No more mister nice guy though. Eventually in [...]
A few years ago, Dobber was closely tracking Andreas Athanasiou in his quest for the most abysmal season ever, at least in terms of plus-minus. Through his first 12 games, Athanasiou was minus-16, and if it weren’t for a mid-season injury, he may have given the minus-100 mark a good run. As it was, he [...]
Welcome back to The Journey, where we follow hockey prospects and their paths to the NHL, providing Fantasy predictions and analysis along the way. This week, I wanted to circle back to the Calder trophy race and highlight the prospects who have set themselves up to win the award. It’s early on — some prospects [...]

I can’t remember a season with so many teams having schedules this thin to start the year. The Colorado Avalanche are in the midst of their second of three weeks where they play just two games and the New York Islanders have only one game this week for the second time this year. There are [...]

The hits just keep coming for Ottawa as the team added Alex Formenton, Nikita Zaitsev, and Matt Murray to the COVID list. That now gives them nine players and a coach on that list for the time being, which began Thursday night against Los Angeles. The game went on as scheduled, despite the talk that [...]

And Part II here, where we looked at some of the defencemen we had previously written off as overvalued, and who we [...]
