Russ Miller Blogs on a possible future Team Canada roster. It can be found here.   Daniel Alfredsson has a "serious" knee injury and "soreness in the neck" that will keep him out of the first two rounds of the playoffs and probably the third round as well. Mike Fisher also has a knee injury that will [...]

NHL Picks for Saturday, April 05, 2008

Pro-line

It is the last Saturday of the year and I would like to thank those people who followed my picks. It was a tough year for everyone who was “man” enough to put their picks down on paper so to speak. Post-lockout hockey truly is the toughest sport to pick a winner or wager your hard earned money on.

For this week, things change a little bit. If the game has any meaning at all, you have to try a figure out what teams are thinking and where they would like to be seeded.  Playoff teams are going to be entering into potential seven-game wars with other teams and they want to be sure that they match up well with their prospective opponent if they can. Good luck, and thanks again.

It's that time of year again - I'm suddenly flooded with inquiries about the "when" of my awesome Playoff Draft List. Here is the scoop (for today): the List is out on Sunday or when the playoff matchups are set. It may be Sunday night as a result, but hopefully if we get down to [...]

Mats Sundin has confirmed that he is done for the season with his groin injury. We may have seen the last of him in a Leaf uniform.  Need an edge for your roto league? "Looking Ahead " is updated to the end of the season - get a quick, easy look at which teams to load [...]

I said earlier that Shanahan missed last night's contest with a lower body injury. He actually LEFT last night's contest with the injury. He apparently would have been available for the shootout. Colton Orr is out indefinitely with a broken toe.  David Legwand will not be back before the end of the season but hopes to be [...]
