• Can Alexis Lafreniere's fantasy relevance survive a line combo blender? • Why is nobody on Dallas doing anything at all? • Has Kyle Connor taken his game up another notch? • Who might be the newest PP1 QB in the league? • Are Troy Terry and his Anaheim buddies actually for real? • Is it safe to believe in Johnny Gaudreau again? • Will the Wild's stars bounce back from disappointing starts?
I rarely write about goalies in the NHL, because quite frankly they are all a little strange and usually unpredictable. Every season, there seem to be one or two goalies who were playing in the Swedish 3rd division or the league below the ECHL and emerge to win 10 games in a row and propel [...]
Someone once said that if you start from zero, you have nothing to lose. Whoever said that obviously didn't play fantasy sports. We are all used to players having slow starts, but there is nothing more frustrating than watching a player consistently put up zeroes every game, especially in a category where you were counting [...]
Every Sunday, we share 21 Fantasy Rambles from our writers at DobberHockey. These thoughts are curated from the past week's ‘Daily Ramblings’. Writers/Editors: Ian Gooding, Michael Clifford, Alexander MacLean, and Dobber ___ 1. Tony DeAngelo earned a Gordie Howe hat trick with a goal, two assists, and a fight on Friday. He also finished with [...]
Happy Halloween to all my fellow fantasy hockey ghosts and ghouls out there! Halloween also marks the last day of October, so I figured what better time to recap some of the standouts from the first month of the season. It’s a bit of an abbreviated month since the season doesn’t start right on October [...]
Welcome back to The Journey, where we follow hockey prospects and their paths to the NHL, providing fantasy predictions and analysis along the way. This week, I thought I’d finally complete the top 32 of this year’s draft-eligibles and provide some updates to last month’s top 15, using the league’s current standings as a reference [...]
After what has been a heartbreaking and extremely tough week in terms of news coming out of the NHL, for obvious reasons, I think it’s safe to say I am very much looking forward to getting back to what I do best: feed you winners on Saturday. In terms of last week’s picks, a Side [...]
With the season just shy of one-tenth of the way complete, it seems pretty certain we can write off Toronto, Boston, Vegas, and Colorado as busts this season. Too soon? Okay, too soon. While it is surprising those teams would NOT be in the playoffs if the season ended today, and it is equally surprising [...]
Ben and Lewis are back with updates on injured stars in Tampa, Washington, and LA. After an impromptu discussion of Quenneville's day-late end in Sunrise, they discuss the rising stock of Andrew Copp in Winnipeg and Sharks' top line. They wrap with a debate no one expected, on how long Craig Anderson can goalie other teams into submission for the Sabres.
Now that we are a couple of weeks into the season and we have some massive sample sizes to work with (notice the tongue firmly planted in cheek here), I want to turn our attention to players who have been seeing a change in deployment that could impact their fantasy value going forward. This week [...]
