It’s every fantasy owners (annual) dream to see their highly anticipated prospects name etched onto an NHL team’s opening roster. There is no better feeling in fantasy than when a draftee from years prior finally develops and produces. It's a feeling that us hockey nerds thrive on. Yet, just when you think it’s their year, [...]
Two weeks ago we took a look at Matt Murray and Devan Dubnyk moving cities, and last week, inspired by the Taylor Hall move, we examined big-name wingers on the move over the last several seasons. This week, after some positive comments and questions about goalies we are essentially going to combine these two approaches [...]
The Flames added some forward depth on Tuesday by signing forward Dominik Simon to a one-year contract worth $700k. He had 22 points in 64 games last year with Pittsburgh, and 28 points in 71 games the year before with that same franchise. He turned 26 in August and will still be RFA at the [...]
The top skater and goalie rankings have been a favourite project of mine over the last year or so. I have put so much time into them, and there is still so much potential for what they can show. One of the many shortcomings of the rankings is that no two fantasy leagues are alike, [...]
Although most recent attention of poolies has rightfully been paid to free-agent signings and trades, and their ripple effect in fantasy, let’s not forget there was also a little thing called the NHL Entry Draft earlier this month. Usually at this time of year, fantasy general managers have finished their drafts and already making crazy assumptions about the first few weeks of the season. (That third liner has eight points in three games! Should I drop Sidney Crosby for him?) However, COVID-19 has pushed everything around. Now, many fantasy GMs are gearing up [...]
Every Sunday, we'll share 21 Fantasy Rambles from our writers at DobberHockey. These thoughts are curated from the past week's ‘Daily Ramblings’. Writers/Editors: Ian Gooding, Michael Clifford, Grant Campbell (subbing for Cam Robinson), and Dobber 1. I cannot wait to watch Jack Eichel/Taylor Hall play together. Eichel is in his prime as one of [...]
We have officially entered the dark ages. Playoffs, draft, and now the initial free agent frenzy have all come and gone, leaving us with a very uncertain future and possibly months of waiting. Luckily, as long as you have the means to catch games in the morning, there are certain leagues currently running despite the [...]

Will is extremely knowledgeable and drops a bunch of takes of which players he expects to hit and which may end up being more of a whiff. For more from [...]
