Welcome back to Goldipucks and the Three Skaters, a play on words of the Goldilocks and the Three Bears story. Instead of there being three bowls of porridge though, I cover three skaters and declare one too hot (i.e., doing unsustainably better than he should), another too cold (i.e., doing unsustainably worse), and a third [...]
Things just keep going downhill for the last-place Blue Jackets. They managed to throw away the game last night against the Penguins, and in the process they lost Elvis Merzlikins to an injury. https://twitter.com/mark_scheig/status/1633306333205200903 That all being said, it is good to see the young players Kent Johnson, Liam Foudy, and Emil Bemstrom each with [...]
Here are the Top 300 skaters to own in your points-only dynasty leagues - March edition! As always, players rated between +/- 5.0 points of each other should be considered equal value and at that point become a matter of team needs (reliability vs. upside vs. floor, etc.) and personal bias. Missed out on your league's trade deadline? You're not alone. Whether you were too busy with real life, or you just couldn't make a deal, numerous people weren't able to swing a deal. It can be frustrating to not be able to make a move to improve your squad, especially if you are contending for [...]
Are the Lightning in trouble? https://twitter.com/DobberHockey/status/1632113053528469507 In that game they were down 5-1. Benching Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point actually helped them close the gap to a 5-3 final! How did those superstars respond, you ask? By laying a big, rotten egg. The Hurricanes hammered Tampa on Sunday 6-0. And in fact, in [...]
