It’s time for my annual poll on overrated players. What is it exactly that makes one overrated, both in general and more so relative to other players? Average draft position is an objective barometer, as is actual versus predicted performance. But there is room to consider subjective factors such as name value versus true value, [...]
Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening! Welcome back to the Injury Ward. My name is Logan Clarkson and every Wednesday and Sunday I will be taking you through injury news and updates from around the NHL. I’ll do my best to offer useful analysis and opinion as it relates to fantasy throughout. At the [...]
The NHL is back and Fantrax/Yahoo/ESPN leagues are showing points beside your team! Lots of speculation on who Artemi Panarin would line up with out there, with ideas from Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe, to uniting him with struggling Russian Andrei Kuzmenko. The Kevin Fiala injury threw a wrench into things though, and we were [...]
Happy Christmas eve to those who celebrate, and to those who don’t, we wish you a happy “three days off from NHL nonsense as the World Juniors begin” season. * Jamie Benn’s peripherals have dropped off a bit as the mid-season doldrums have kicked in now – he was really stuffing the stats initially upon [...]
The Columbus Blue Jackets got a boost to the lineup as Kirill Marchenko returned after missing the last four games with a knee issue. He was back in his usual top-line role so all of the Kent Johnson and Yegor Chinakhov enthusiasts – there are dozens of us! – are going to have to stand [...]

The goal isn’t just to share picks, but to help you recognize why certain spots have value so you can identify them throughout the season. I’ll be tracking every pick [...]
Welcome fantasy managers to another edition of the Eastern Edge. My name is Mike Ouellet, and I am thrilled to be joining the incredible team here at Dobber Hockey as we delve into all that is the Eastern Conference each and every Tuesday. This week we’ll take a look at how there seems to be [...]
Welcome back to Puck Picks! Each Thursday, I’ll be breaking down some of my favorite NHL bets. The goal of Puck Picks isn’t just to share picks, but to explain the why behind them, helping you recognize similar value spots on your own throughout the season. I’ll be tracking every pick transparently in this column, [...]
The Rangers struggled last season, especially given the talent on their roster, but from a fantasy perspective, Adam Fox should still be a high-upside option. Mike Sullivan’s recent comments suggest the team intends on putting Fox in a spot to succeed, keeping him in the Norris conversation. Any other approach would not make sense given [...]
In yesterday’s Ramblings, I looked at a few players I thought have overvalued Average Draft Positions (ADP) so far this fantasy hockey draft season, including Mikko Rantanen and Victor Hedman. Today’s Ramblings will go in the other direction and look at some undervalued ADPs. These are based off my early personal projections and use six [...]
