By Alexander MacLean|2022-06-18T11:44:57-04:00June 29th, 2022|Hockey Rambling|

I was looking into Ryan Johansen’s FrozenTools page for an entirely unrelated reason, and noticed that he may be the poster-boy for regression entering next season. He tied the second-highest point-pace of his career despite seeing his ice time drop for the third straight season. Diving in deeper it looks bad no matter what numbers [...]

By Ian Gooding|2022-06-25T22:02:24-04:00June 26th, 2022|Hockey Rambling|

Since his debut in the 2013-14 season, only five players have registered more hits than Tom Wilson. Over that time, Wilson has gradually developed into a scoring threat as well, all the way from his 10-point rookie season to his career-high 24 goals and 52 points last season. The combination of scoring and peripherals makes [...]

Tampa Bay remains the defending Stanley Cup champion for at least one more day, and we get to watch at least one more playoff game. This was announced on Thursday morning in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding: https://twitter.com/NCC_CCN/status/1539983520847757312 For anyone unfamiliar with the goings-on here, Ottawa’s [...]

We saw the NHL announce their awards last night, and you can find the full breakdown in lots of places quickly if you google it. There’s not a lot of fantasy value to be gained from awards and all, but they are a fun way to wrap-up the season, and look ahead to potential winners [...]
