Though the regular season started on the weekend with a pair of Sharks/Predators games in Czechia, the campaign starts in earnest today. We have two confrontations today (Tuesday) with a fuller slate coming on Wednesday. That makes this Ramblings my last of the unofficial offseason. For anyone that is waiting to draft, our 2022-23 Dobber [...]
A core three is what I would consider the three players in an organization who the team should build around. The best teams in the NHL have six or seven players that we could put as that team's core three. Some teams it seems like we are scraping three players together and these are probably [...]
With the NHL preseason wrapping up on Saturday night and final roster decisions still to come (depending on what time you read this), fantasy GMs have been following the preseason action to determine who might be worth rostering on their squad. While you can expect the superstars to be ready for the start of the [...]
The last update for the Fantasy Guide was Sunday. Seven times. And I’ll keep updating until Wednesday morning. Then I’ll call it. After that, refer to our Frozen Tools player profiles for game logs, ‘on pace’ stats, links to articles they are mentioned in, rankings (all of our rankings) advanced stats and more. * Have [...]
Every Sunday, we share 21 Fantasy Rambles from our writers at DobberHockey. These thoughts are curated from the past week's ‘Daily Ramblings’. Both teams will fly back to North America, where they will resume their seasons later next week while readjusting to the time change. Your way-too-early goal scoring leader is Nino Niederreiter, who scored [...]
Welcome back to The Journey, where we follow hockey prospects and their paths to the NHL, providing fantasy predictions and analysis along the way. Amid all the playoff baseball and preseason NHL games still taking place, the NHL regular season officially started on Friday in Prague. The Predators, led by a goal and an assist from Kiefer Sherwood, skated to a 4-1 win over the Sharks. I had wondered why up-and-comer Philip Tomasino wasn’t in the lineup while fringe [...]
I have three words everyone: Hockey. Is. Back. We made it and I hope everyone out there had a terrific summer, but we’ve finally made it to the other side and back to hockey season. The only thing that can top a draft night party is opening night of the regular season and seeing how [...]
