In this week’s Eastern Edge, we’ll discuss a few players to avoid because of their high ADPs (average draft positions) in upcoming fantasy drafts. Keep in mind, Yahoo’s ADPs aren’t the most accurate at this point in the offseason. As a result, we won’t pay too much attention to the ADP itself, but we’ll use [...]
Just as the Eastern Conference saw many teams add key players over the off-season, the Western half of the NHL isn’t looking like the same 16 teams that started out last season. 2021 saw the Colorado Avalanche win Lord Stanley’s Cup, Connor McDavid’s team (finally) win two playoff rounds, and the Vegas Golden Knights miss [...]
This is the last week before training camps start, though there are rookie camps that will be happening all week long across the league. For anyone that even pays cursory attention to social media for hockey clips and information, it is probably worth taking a bit of time about what we should look for in [...]
The Colorado Avalanche have signed versatile forward Evan Rodrigues to a one-year contract worth $2M. The Avs get: a solid middle-sixer who can slot in at any forward position. Rodrigues truly flourished with the Penguins last season when both Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin were injured. Once they returned, the dynamic changed. And even with [...]

It feels good to be back! Geek of the Week is back after a lengthy summer vacation. Now that we are in September, it’s officially fantasy hockey season! Like last year, I am going to spend the next few weeks highlighting some fantasy-relevant players who swapped uniforms over the offseason. Like most summers, there was [...]
